Longer Run Time by NMC-High-Drain ™ Technology:

• The innoVolta IVH-2840Xj Battery is optimized with the NMC-High-Drain™ technology, which means the NMC battery can store the same 2,500 mAh at less weight. In other word, the NMC-High-Drain ™ cell performs higher specific energy than the LiPo cell. With the reduced weight, the NMC-High-Drain ™ battery delivers longer run time per discharge than the LiPo battery.

Ultra Long Life:

• The authentic Li-ion cells made by the NMC-High-Drain ™ technology performs lower IR and lower aging rate of IR which are  major contributors to the achievement of ultra-long life. To understand why IR and the aging rate of IR are the major factors to retire a battery, please refer to this blog.
• The reason why the R/C LiPo battery doesn’t allow its operation below 3.7 V/cell is because the cathode chemical compound is made of LiMn2O4, which can only store less than 10% energy below 3.7 V/cell. The 2S LiPo will get damaged if you abuse it below 7.4 V! Contrast to the LiPo battery, the NMC-High-Drain ™ battery provides a wide spectrum of energy storage, which stores 90% energy above 3.4 V/cell. You may safely discharge the innoVolta IVH-2840Xj battery down to 6.8 V (i.e. OCV). With the ability to discharge and charge the NMC battery at lower voltage, the electrolyte can stay less volatile, which greatly reduces the rate of SEI formation and conserves more active Li+ ions and results in much longer cycle life.
• According to the Real-Time Cycle Life Test, the LiPo battery only lasts 150 ~ 200 deep cycles but the NMC-High-Drain ™ battery lasts up to 1,200 deep cycles. Buying one NMC-High-Drain ™ battery is equivalent to buying 6 ~ 8 LiPo batteries.
• During the battery pack assembly, matching the cell capacity and IR are very important to obtain the longest battery life. For the innoVolta IVH-2840Xj, the capacity and IR matching are controlled less than 30 mAh and 3 mOhm to meet the ultra-long life requirement.
• Important: To achieve the ultra-long life feature, you must use a CC/CV balance charger and set the constant charging current at or below the standard charging spec, which is 1.0A for the innoVolta IVH-2840Xj battery.

Higher Safety:

• Individual cells of the innoVolta IVH-2840Xj meet the UL 1642 and RoHS safety standard.
• Never worry about an explosion owing to a temporary short circuit by a human mishandling because the inherent low IR generates less heat to raise the battery body temperature.
• NMC-High-Drain ™ battery will NEVER puff, unlike the LiPo battery.
• NMC-High-Drain ™ battery also runs cooler due to the inherent low IR.

Convenience:

• Assembled with a Traxxas high current female connector. You may connect the innoVolta IVH-2840Xj battery directly to the Traxxas ESC without inserting an R/C adapter.
• Assembled with a JST XH-3 female connector. You may easily run a balance charge by using a conventional R/C balance charger. For example, the popular LiPro Balance Charger, iMax B6 or its equivalent.
